One of the many great benefits you will receive when signing up for Group Personal Training is a FREE Nutrition class teaching you how to make healthier choices so that you can achieve your weight loss goals faster. This class will be held on the 1st saturday of each month at 9:00 am. Here are just a few things we will be covering.
Good nutritional habits are a major part of success in reaching your fitness goals. How are your nutritional habits? Without structure and consistency in your nutrition all of your hard work in the weight room and your cardiovascular exercise could be sabotaged.
1. Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day.
2. Drink 6 or more 8 ounce glasses of water each day.
3. Eat before you get hungry, drink water before you get thirsty.
4. Avoid carbohydrates (potatoes, breads, rice, pasta, etc)within hours of going to sleep.
5. Eat one serving of protein and one serving of carbohydrates with each meal (note: a serving is about the size of your fist).
6. Eat most, if not all, of your food from the Approved Food List.
7. Add vegetables to 2 to 3 meals each day.
8. Do not eat anything that has more than 20% of its total calories from fat.
9. Use meal replacement supplements for 2 of your meals to cut food costs and preparation time.
10. Use Sunday as your “Free Day” and eat reasonable amounts of the food you like approximately every three hours.
